Music at Sefton Church

This page will contain information for those interested in our choir, the newly restored organ and the church bells. Links will be made under News and Events for concerts and musical events.

The Bell Tower

St Helens Church Sefton has 8 bells, rung on a regular basis for services.

The Tower under their Tower Captain; Edmund Crighton, practice on Wednesday evenings between 7.30pm and 9.00pm. If you would like to hear how they sound from the end of the ropes, listen here.

For more information on Bell Ringing, take a look at the The Lancashire Association of Change Ringers website. You can contact Edmund on 07415 377002.

The Organ

The organ, which was built by Harrison & Harrison and commissioned in 1922, was recently completely refurbished by Henry Willis & Sons.

More information regarding the organ, including a short downloadable sound file will be available here soon.

The Choir

The Sefton Church Choir sing at all Sunday morning services and are available for other services on request.

We are always looking for people who enjoy singing and are available for practices on Thursday evenings between 7.00pm and 9.00pm (2.30-5.00pm in the winter).
